Parvata, – born Alan Steenblock in Columbia, Missouri, started music at a very early age. By the age of 12 he had taught himself the piano and was already composing his own classical works. He developed a unique system of piano improv, and would mimic the sounds of J.S. Bach. At age 16 he was introduced to Hip Hop and took upon himself to learn the ways of the turntable (Parvata was known as DJ Wol…f at the time). Parvata moved to Colorado and started to produce electronic infused Hip Hop beats.
The sounds of Parvata’s productions are unique, blending baroque classical scales with nasty bass lines and synths, mixing in beats inspired by gangsta rap beats, 808 drums, crump dancing and blunt smoking.
